RARE Black Calcite Jumbo Sphere

Description

Rare black calcite jumbo sphere that also looks like a freshly hatched dragon egg! Excellent quality.  This stone type differs from septarian in that the yellow calcite has pseudomorphed into the shape of the aragonite crystals and is no longer aragonite but becomes ‘black calcite’, exhibiting the deep brown to black colour.  Learn more about pseudomorphs by signing up for classes and lessons taught by Dawn Markus, collector and practitioner for over 32 years.
